Aroma Tours in the person of Jim was invited by the Italian government to attend the prestigious BITEG Eno-Gastronomy conference which is held every 2 years in the Veneto region of northern Italy.

Delegates from all over the world attended and enjoyed wines and gastronomic delights from all of the regions of Italy.

The conference included gala dinners and special events in the festival city of Verona and at the picturesque town of Riva del Garda on the shores of lake Garda. There was also a huge eno-gastronomy expo as well as tours and meetings with dignitaries and business people from all over Italy.

Jim was the sole Australian delegate to be sponsored for the conference which was a great honour for us.

After the conference Jim spent almost a month travelling throughout northern Italy which lead to the creation of our Aromas of Tuscany and Flavours of Italy tours.
